Sublimation prints
Full-wrap prints on tumblers and mugs from the Makerspace's Print Studio, from Yazaki cable tumblers to a mug for a coach's team.
Sublimation prints full-wrap color into the coating of a tumbler or mug with heat, so the design becomes part of the piece. I wrote the Makerspace’s Sublimation & Heat Press class, and these are a few things I made in the Print Studio. More of what I’ve made is in Laser tools and builds and Learning 3D.
Yazaki cable tumblers
Tumblers made to look like Yazaki cable, for Yazaki teams. One is the orange of high-voltage cable, printed with markings like the real thing, “Yazaki cable 75 mm², 1000 V AC / 1500 V DC,” and a warning that it holds a hot beverage. The other is striped like the wires inside a harness. Each has a part label on the back that reads “made in Canton, MI USA” under the Makerspace logo. In October 2026 I made a batch of both as a gift to our Japanese branch.
A team mug
A mug for a coach’s team: a line portrait of him on one side with riders across the waves, and his sayings on the other, one to a line.
