La Soupe
A pro bono portrait day for La Soupe, a Cincinnati nonprofit that turns rescued food into meals.
In August 2022 I donated a day to La Soupe, a Cincinnati nonprofit that turns rescued food into meals, and photographed the people who run it in their kitchen.
I lit the kitchen in front of its wall of hanging pans and photographed the staff and volunteers one at a time, in pairs and as a team. Everyone came away with a ready-to-use headshot, and La Soupe got a library of portraits with real personality: a chef with a ladle and a stockpot, a cook with a cleaver, and a team that clearly likes working together.
