Corporate Masterline

Yazaki’s corporate masterline is an automated wire-harness line: robots cut and strip cable, crimp and insert terminals, add convolute and sleeves, tape, attach clips, test and pack the harness, eight stations in a row.

I made it for Yazaki’s Advanced Manufacturing team, who were studying automation strategies, to present in Japan. I planned, shot and edited a six-minute film that walks through the line one station at a time, with titles in English and Japanese that show what goes into each step and what comes out.
